FaithTech Safeguards China’s Aerospace Industry
On June 17, 2021, the successful launch of the Shenzhou-12 manned rocket, sending three astronauts to the Tianhe core module of the space station, sparked nationwide celebration and immense pride among the Chinese people.
China's aerospace journey began in the 1950s, with the establishment of its first rocket and missile research institution by the visionary scientist Qian Xuesen in 1956. Over the past 60 years, scientists have overcome numerous challenges and surpassed technical blockades and sanctions from Western countries, achieving remarkable milestones such as the 'Two Bombs, One Satellite' initiative, manned spaceflight, Tiangong space laboratory, lunar exploration, and Mars exploration.
Stable operation of power systems is crucial for the normal functioning of aerospace vehicles. Extreme temperature differentials and exposure to high-energy particles and cosmic rays in outer space can cause frequent fluctuations in spacecraft currents. In the event of circuit faults or anomalies, fuse protection measures isolate faulty equipment, ensuring power supply safety and maintaining the full or primary functionality of aerospace vehicles. The trend towards miniaturization, lightweighting, and thinning of electronic circuits requires fuses to provide protection for low-voltage, high-current circuits, demanding higher tolerance and adaptability to complex conditions. Therefore, precise and stable electronic testing equipment is crucial for aerospace-grade fuses.
In aerospace-grade fuse testing systems, several key requirements must be met:
- High testing accuracy: Voltage and current testing accuracy and stability must reach first-class standards, with a fuse blowing time measurement requirement of 50PPM. Additionally, current rise time should be in the microsecond range, with current overshoot controlled within 5% even under rapid microsecond-level rise conditions. To meet customer requirements for current rise rate and current overshoot, FaithTech's R&D department expanded the functionality of existing products to perfectly cover all technical requirements.
- Testing time recording: Time display from 0.1ms to 24h is required. FaithTech's engineering department added time measurement in product design, achieving accuracy within 2s error over 24 hours, greatly enhancing fuse testing efficiency for customers.
- High reliability of testing systems: To verify the effects of different voltage and current conditions on fuses, any inadvertent fuse blowing due to capacitor charging or discharging during adjustment operations is not allowed. FaithTech's testing system software and hardware run stably, maintaining fault-free operation even during long-term tests lasting up to 2000 hours.
FaithTech successfully provided Shanghai Songshan Electronics with FTG series power supplies and FT68200A/E series electronic loads for testing aerospace-grade fuse systems. These products precisely measure fuse blowing, breaking capacity, durability, and other tests for small fuses. FaithTech's product specifications fully meet Songshan Electronics' military-grade testing requirements, surpassing domestic products in both performance and price.
Additionally, after rigorous testing and selection, FaithTech emerged as the winner among numerous suppliers, securing the contract to supply China National Electronic Imp. & Exp. Corporation (CEIEC) with DC fuse characteristic testers and DC short-circuit current breaking testers. FaithTech also provided 160kW DC power supplies and load systems, as well as 400kW DC power supplies and 200kW loads for CEIEC's Aerospace Fuse DC Fuse Characteristic Testing System, supporting Zhonghua Electronic Group's Yunko Electronic Co., Ltd., which specializes in aerospace-grade fuse testing.
FaithTech is committed to the development and production of power electronics testing equipment, leveraging top domestic research institutions to provide precise, reliable, and top-quality power supplies, electronic loads, and comprehensive testing solutions for high-end manufacturing industries, research institutes, and other user groups. FaithTech's independently developed power supplies, electronic loads, and testing systems have been widely used in military research institutes, new energy batteries, automotive electronics, third-generation semiconductors, and many other industry production line testing systems, demonstrating stability through practical verification and providing users with precise, reliable, and top-quality power supplies, electronic loads, and comprehensive testing solutions.
