For example, the FaithTech FT68200H High Slew Rate Electronic Load Series supports multiple loads simultaneously applying step loads to simulate the instantaneous power consumption changes of GPUs/CPUs during actual server operation, verifying the transient response of the server power supply. The FaithTech FT68200H High Slew Rate Electronic Load supports a current slew rate of up to 96A/μs, far exceeding industry averages, and can accurately replicate the transient power consumption characteristics of computing centers. In high slew rate dynamic tests for AI server power supplies at several renowned major manufacturers, the test waveforms from FaithTech electronic loads were perfect, stably simulating extreme operating conditions for 8 consecutive hours, earning customer recognition.

Testing the Power Supply Unit (PSU) for data centers goes far beyond the scope of ordinary consumer product testing; it concerns the stable operation of the entire data center.
The goal is to achieve extreme efficiency, absolute reliability, and comprehensive manageability under extremely high power density to support uninterrupted AI computing power output.
According to the M-CRPS and OCP ORV3 test guidelines, the FaithTech DC Electronic Load FT63200H High Slew Rate Series can meet the requirements for testing PSU parameters and performance. Especially for PSU dynamic load testing, the high-speed dynamic characteristics of the FT63200H electronic load simulate the instantaneous drastic power consumption changes (transient response) during GPU computation, testing the stability of the PSU output voltage to ensure no system restarts or crashes due to voltage drops.

In data center and server architectures, a Power Shelf refers to an integrated power unit, typically installed in a rack, composed of multiple redundant power modules, power distribution units, and management modules. Under the OCP ORV3 standard, a single Power Shelf can provide power output of up to 33kW or even 72kW within a 10U height space.

A Power Rack refers to an integrated centralized power supply system that provides power for an entire server cabinet. It typically consists of multiple Power Shelves connected in parallel, with power reaching hundreds of kilowatts.
Its core characteristics include integrating Power Distribution Units (PDU), Battery Backup Unit Shelves (BBU Shelf), monitoring systems, etc., to achieve rack-level efficient power supply and management. Server power supplies for Power Racks have high power, requiring a comprehensive evaluation of test laboratory setup needs.

HVDC server power supplies represent a significant evolution in data center power supply technology. The BBU in an AI server is a highly integrated system. It is not merely a simple battery but an emergency power supply system integrating battery cells, intelligent management, power conversion, and communication functions.
Its core mission is to provide seamless DC power supply the instant mains power fails. Due to drastic instantaneous load fluctuations, this requires the backup battery to deliver a huge discharge current (high-rate discharge) in a short time and quickly absorb energy (high-rate charge) upon power restoration. The FaithTech FTB9000 bidirectional power supply can simulate such extreme operating conditions, making it easy to build a backup battery unit test solution.
