FTM6000 series impedance analyzer is a new generation impedance analyzer produced by Faithtech. According to the output capacity of the fuel cell, match the FT68200 series electronic load to build a fuel cell impedance testing system. Its measurement scanning frequency range is 0.01Hz to 20kHz, the measurement current can reach 1500A, and the maximum power can reach 600kW. The provided dedicated upper computer test software can real-time measure the I-V characteristic curve, Cole-Cole curve graph, etc., and supports data export in various forms such as Excel, JPG, etc., making it convenient for the performance analysis of the fuel cell stack.

FTM6000 can accurately measure various impedance parameters of fuel cells, helping fuel cell manufacturers optimize the impedance characteristics of fuel cells and enable them to perform at their best. This electrochemical system of fuel cells can be simplified into an equivalent circuit: the reaction resistance (R) and the double-layer interface capacitance (C) are connected in parallel, and then the electrolyte membrane resistance (Rm) is connected in series. During the operation of fuel cells, their performance and power generation status will affect the resistance values and capacitance values, which will constantly change. Through the FTM6000 series of online fuel cell-specific impedance testers, these resistance values and capacitance values and their changing trends can be indirectly measured, facilitating impedance characteristic analysis by fuel cell manufacturers.
The AC impedance method involves superimposing a small measurement AC current on the discharge DC current of the fuel cell. The AC current component typically accounts for 0.1% to 10% of the DC current. Then, the voltage and current are measured and calculated to obtain the pure resistance (R), reactance (X), modulus of complex impedance (|Z|), and phase angle (θ) of the fuel cell. The measurement mode of FTM6000 can be single or multiple, and the test method can be fixed frequency or sweep frequency.
The DC impedance method involves superimposing a square wave current on the discharge DC current of the fuel cell, and then measuring and calculating the voltage and current to obtain the pure resistance (R) of the fuel cell.
